Do you accept insurance?

No. Currently, I am private-pay only. However, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How much do sessions cost?

The investment for an initial intake session is $200. Ongoing individual sessions are $200.

*Please note, there is a processing fee of 3.15%+$0.30 for SimplePractice transactions.

Can I pay with my HSA/FSA?

In most cases, you can pay for therapy sessions with your HSA or FSA. Check with your specific plan to confirm.

Do you provide a superbill?

Yes, I can offer all clients a superbill upon request for insurance/reimbursement purposes.


Are appointments in person or online?

Currently, I offer telehealth appointments only. Sessions are held via a secure video conferencing platform.

How do I schedule my first appointment?

I start every client relationship with a free, 15-minute meet-and-greet call. This allows us to assess potential fit. You can book your intro call here. If we decide to move forward, you can book your first full appointment online here.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any sessions cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will be billed for the full session fee.

Do you offer weekend appointments?

No, I’m currently offering weekday appointments only.

How long does each therapy session last?

For your very first session, we’ll meet for 60 minutes. Ongoing individual sessions are 50 minutes long.



Can I see you for general support (even if I don’t have anxiety, depression, or trauma)?

Yes, you can come to therapy to discuss all sorts of challenges and issues you’re working through. While these are conditions that many people want help with, we can address many different topics in therapy, not limited to anxiety, depression, or trauma.

Do you provide therapy for couples or families?

I do not currently offer any couples or family therapy.

What age groups do you work with?

I work with adults ages 18 and up.

Do you offer group therapy?

I do not currently offer group therapy, but I am in the process of creating a group therapy curriculum. If you’re interested in hearing more when it’s available, please email me at info@unitedmentalhealthcounseling.com.

What methods or approaches do you use?

Each person is unique, so I tailor the sessions to the individual. I’m familiar with and will use a number of different therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, CBT, REBT, IFS, Attachment Theory, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Online Therapy

What platform do you use for appointments?

I use Simple Practice, a HIPAA-compliant and HITRUST-certified platform.

Can you do online therapy with anyone?

Yes, I’m a certified telehealth provider and certified to conduct EMDR sessions via telehealth. I can hold online therapy sessions with any resident of New York.

Can you do a blend of online and in-person sessions?

I’m only offering telehealth services now, but there may be opportunities in the future for in-person sessions.

What To Expect

What happens during the first session?

The first session is all about gathering information and getting to know you. Typically, it doesn’t feel like a standard therapy session since it’s more structured.

How long does it take for therapy to work?

Many clients start to notice a change around the 6-month mark. But every person is different, and your journey will be unique to you.

What role does medication take in therapy?

Before offering medication management, I exhaust all of my clinical options, tools, and techniques. On rare occasions, there are times when medication is necessary in the beginning in order for deeper therapeutic work to happen.

What’s your therapy style?

My therapy style is warm but direct. I blend various therapeutic approaches to tailor the sessions to you, focusing on both immediate relief and long-term growth. I’m invested in your well-being, aiming to create a supportive and focused environment where you can freely express yourself and make meaningful changes.
